Dodgers Trade Anthony Banda to Twins for International Bonus Space

The Los Angeles Dodgers traded left-handed reliever Anthony Banda to the Minnesota Twins for $500,000 in international bonus pool space on February 12, 2026.

Banda, 32, posted a 3.14 ERA across 114.2 innings in 119 games over two seasons with Los Angeles. The two-time World Series champion (2024, 2025) recorded a 23.3% strikeout rate and averaged 96 mph on his fastball. He earns $1.625 million in 2026 and remains controllable through the 2027 season.

The Dodgers forfeited multiple draft picks after signing free agents Edwin Díaz and Kyle Tucker, making international signing space valuable for supplementing their prospect pipeline. Los Angeles maintains bullpen depth with four other left-handed relievers: Alex Vesia, Tanner Scott, Jack Dreyer, and Justin Wrobleski.

Minnesota designated right-hander Jackson Kowar for assignment to create roster space for Banda.
